Theme: the best gifts are the simplest ones.

Last remenants of a cigarette drifting to the ceiling was something oddly beautiful to Badou. No matter the delicate patterns that came from the deemed "death stick", the fact was, he was out of smokes.

Badou's internal clock started to tick down from five minutes the moment he put out the butt.

He shifted lazily on his couch, looking around the dank apartment. Piles of assorted... things lined the corners, no cigarette box.
He looked to the table, no cigarette box.
The floor?
Same problem.
He grabbed his jacket and wallet. Destination: corner store.
GO.

He ran as fast as his damaged lungs could take him.

Badou's eye twitched. The sign upon the door innocently greeted "CLOSED".

"Why the fuck would they not be open?!" he ranted to himself.

The door took most of the damage of his hissyfit.

Biological clock was very close to zero.

Hands shoved in his pockets, Badou stomped back to his apartment.

Clock was at zero and somebody was going to get hurt.

He slammed the apartment door shut, maybe if he just searched thr--Badou gaped at his couch. Sitting there, white as paper, eyes blood red was Haine holding out a box of cigarettes.

The two locations that we chose to do in this project were Comox and Egg Island in British Columbia. There are similarities that they two towns have with each other and there are differences as well. Egg Island is a very small town on the western part of British Columbia and is mostly known for its lighthouses and very few inhabitants. There are not a lot of things to do there because it is so small and off the coast. Both places temperatures peak in the summer time, with Egg Island reaching to a high of fifteen degrees, and Comox reaching twenty-three. Egg Island has more snowfall than Comox, and is a lot wetter and cooler. Cedar trees, bayberry bushes, sumac, and common reeds are some of the plant species that are on Egg Island. Egg Island is more of a marshy area, and lots of waterfowl go to their wildlife reserve. Some species of birds include gulls, herons, egrets, and seaside sparrows.                                                                                                                                         Comox is a very busy town in is on the eastern side of the island, near Courtenay. It is home to over 12,000 people and has lots of attractions. It is known for Fisherman’s Wharf, a public boardwalk, and Mount Washington where lots of skiing and snowboarding are done. It is a warmer climate than Egg Island and precipitation is much lower. Coniferous and deciduous trees are what make up the area and  The animals that inhabit Comox are elk and deer, trout and some waterfowl, but every year sea lions come up on the beach.
